This page covers how to start, run and complete workouts for client sessions, trial sessions and your own personal training.

Client Sessions

Starting a Workout

Client sessions are verified using a QR code to confirm the right client is present.

To start a client session:

  1. Tap the session on your Dashboard

  2. Your device displays a QR code

  3. The client scans the code with their app

  4. A countdown appears on both devices

  5. The workout begins and the session timer starts.

Note: You can only have one active workout at a time. Late sessions must be resolved before starting a new one.

Loading a Programme

When a workout starts, it will either load a pre-assigned programme or open blank.

To load a programme into a blank workout:

  1. Tap Load Workout Program

  2. Choose from Workout Templates or Client History

  3. The exercises load into the session

  4. You can modify the programme after loading.

You can also skip loading and add exercises manually.

During the Workout

For each exercise, enter the weight and reps for each set, then tick the checkbox to mark it complete.

Additional controls during a workout:

  • Add Set: tap to add another set to the current exercise

  • Add Exercise: tap to add a new exercise from the library

  • Delete Set: swipe left on a set to remove it (deleting all sets removes the exercise)

  • Set Type: tap and hold a set to classify it as warm up, drop set or failure

  • Reorder Exercises: tap and hold an exercise title, then drag to reposition

  • Rest Timer: set a rest interval between sets (1 to 300 seconds). You can skip or adjust the timer while it's running.

Note: Weight and rep values must be positive numbers.

Finishing a Workout

To complete the workout:

  1. Mark all exercises as complete (tick each set)

  2. Tap Finish

  3. Confirm on the dialog.

The Workout Completed screen shows a summary: workout name, date, duration, total volume, new personal records and a list of exercises with best sets.

If any sets are incomplete, an error will prompt you to either complete or remove them before finishing.

Note: A 10-minute warning appears before long sessions to help with time management.

Trial Sessions

Trial sessions let you run a free demo workout with a potential client before committing to match.

To run a trial session:

  1. Tap Add a Client in the Client Manager

  2. Select Complete a Trial Workout

  3. The workout starts immediately

  4. Complete the session as normal

  5. After finishing, choose Match Now or Match Later.

Trial sessions cannot be scheduled for a future time. If you choose Match Later, the trial stays in your Notifications for action. If you delete the trial, all workout data is removed.

To cancel a trial session in progress, swipe left on the active session from the Dashboard. No cancellation reason is required, but completed exercise data will be lost.

PT Personal Workouts

You can also track your own training sessions.

To start a personal workout:

  1. Go to your PT Profile

  2. Tap Start PT Workout

  3. The workout opens blank

  4. Add exercises and complete the session as normal

  5. Tap Finish when done.

PT workouts always start blank (no pre-assigned programmes). Your workout history and exercise records are tracked separately in your PT Profile under the Progress tab.

To cancel a personal workout in progress, swipe left on the active session from the Dashboard. No cancellation reason is required.
